About the show
The chef’s got the hump and done a bunk and
the waitress and resident musician at the Once Upon a Time Café are
left to fill the orders. Adventure, love, wicked characters and
happy endings are on the story menu but the chef has left only a few
ingredients – a golden ball and a frog's foot.
The puppeteers concoct a modern and stylish
interpretation of the classic story "The Frog Prince". For
this show the company has crafted exquisite hand carved wooden
puppets, shadow puppets and a stunning 'crystal' marionette.
The show is accompanied with live music played
on an octave mandolin designed and created specifically for the show
by Steve Coupe.
I just wanted to say a very big thank you for
your wonderful show this weekend. It made me smile, laugh and be
amazed. Your glass puppet took the audiences breath away! I
came along this weekend for the 2nd time with my 5 yr old
daughter and both of us had a magical time. Thank you very much
indeed for the pleasure it gave us.
Thank you Sue and Steve for a wonderful show at Bowral PS.
The teachers were all raving about how good it was, much better than
any visiting performers we have had at the school or they had seen
Congratulations to Steve and yourself on the
brilliant new show – you are very talented people and a great team.
Your puppet crafting is exquisite ...
This show premiered at the Tarrengower
Puppetfest in March 2012.
