A Sydney Puppet Theatre production

   Nella's Wings

About the show

created in 2013

A new show for young children, Nella's Wings is a beautiful and gentle exploration of a child's dream to fly.

More than anything else Nella wants to fly.  But how can she do that without wings? All day she draws and imagines different wings and flying contraptions.

In her imagination she visits creatures and places that may help her find the right wings.  Will she find what she is looking for in the desert or the garden or the snow?

Using table top puppets and beautiful shadow theatre Nella (with the help of her audience) will find a way to fly.

Nella’s Wings is without text and is supported by recorded music.

A solo show devised and performed by Sue Wallace.

This show premiered at the 7th Izmir International Puppet Days and showcased at the 5th Luleburgaz Puppet Festival both in Turkey during March and April 2013. It has now been invited to the World Puppetry Carnvial in Jakarta, Sept. 2013.
